Quiet Records of Careful Work
Every engagement is held to the same standard. Full discretion, careful precision, and a result that holds once I have stepped away from it. Client names and identifying details stay between us, always. What you will find here is the nature of what you trusted me with and the outcomes we were able to reach together.
Payroll risk Prevention & Planning
You are about to make a decision, a new system, a PEO decision or transition, an audit or acquisition you know is coming. Before anything is signed or set in motion, we sit down together and walk through every detail, every priority, every non-negotiable, everything is accounted for, every concern is on the table, so nothing is left to chance when the timeline begins.
Compliance is not a place you arrive at and then just stop. It is a condition, and it asks for careful, consistent hands to hold it in place. A regulation is shifting, or your organization is shifting, and you need someone who can walk you through the change before it becomes a problem, not after. The outcome is not a simple report on your desk. It is the quiet confidence of knowing your position holds.
What we walk through together
A careful review of where your obligations sit across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Defining roles across the payroll team and sitting with Benefits, Accounting, HR, and Legal teams where payroll meets at the intersection. This way a well tuned collaboration becomes the standard. A plan to resolve what needs resolving, sequenced thoughtfully. Ongoing guidance on how your compliance posture is holding as things move. And a steady hand through any regulatory shift or organizational change that comes your way.
Payroll System Implementation Oversight
You implemented a new payroll system or transitioned from PEO-to-PEO, went Go-live, however, the payroll team is encountering issues with employees pay, taxes, and system glitches. It’s costing the company more than it was expected. We sit down, plan and I quietly work with the payroll team to align GL mappings, all payroll tax jurisdictions, and collaborate with other departments to produce a system that’s not just live, however works to produce payroll as it should have been from day one.
The strongest payroll environments are the ones that were prepared carefully from the very beginning. When the groundwork is laid right, everything that follows holds. When it is not, the weight of those early decisions shows up quietly in every pay cycle after.
Or a setup has already introduced exposure and you need someone to trace what happened carefully and put it right. That is where we meet.
What we walk through together
The full scope of what your payroll environment is carrying. Where the risk is sitting, whether we are getting ahead of it or meeting it after. What needs to be restored, corrected, or realigned so everything holds. And I stay with you through stabilization so nothing drifts back once we have it where it needs to be.
Payroll Tax & Compliance remediation
You received a notice, your initial instinct is to just pay it. However, something about it feels off. That instinct is often what creates the exposure. Before you respond to anything or remit a single dollar, we sit with it together. We read it carefully, understand exactly what it is telling you, and decide together how to move.
From there we look at the full picture of what has actually been filed and remitted, and trace exactly where the concern started. Then we correct it, document it, and close it out together.
Your prior periods have drifted and you are not sure where the divergence started. We trace it carefully, line by line, until we understand exactly what was filed, what was remitted, and where the liability actually sits. The correction is deliberate. It is documented. It holds up to anyone who looks at it later.
A notice from a tax authority is not a bill to be paid. It is information, and without the right person sitting with you to read it carefully, it is almost always handled the wrong way.
What we walk through together
Prior-period payroll tax reconciliation, handled carefully and without shortcuts. A close read of any notice before you respond or remit. Identifying where you have paid too much or too little. Coordinating with the tax authority on your behalf, quietly, so you are not the one on the call.

Pre-Audit Preparation
Fractional Payroll Tax Consulting
SECTOR - Mid-Market Organization — Multi-State Operations
SCOPE - Prior-period payroll tax reconciliation. A careful review across multiple state jurisdictions. Coordination with the tax authorities and recovery of what was owed back.
CONTEXT - The organization had no clear view of what had been remitted over the prior years. Internal teams had been filing and remitting without anyone sitting with the full picture. A prior-period review surfaced the imbalance and recovered capital that had been sitting with the tax authorities for years.
RESULT - A six-figure tax refund identified and returned to the organization within nine months.
Over-remittance across multiple jurisdictions, recovered quietly.
SECTOR - Large Enterprise - PEO Transition
SCOPE - Oversight through a PEO-to-PEO migration. A careful review of every configuration before go-live. Verification of every tax limit and every piece of employee data once the migration was complete.
CONTEXT - Brought in as the independent voice in the room during a high-stakes transition. Every decision was walked through before anything was set in motion. Every detail was confirmed on the other side of the move.
RESULT - Zero data loss. Full tax-limit continuity across 24,600 employees.
A migration of this scale carries real risk of configuration errors, data failures, and mid-year limit resets. None of it occurred.
SECTOR - PE-Backed Organization - Pre-Audit Preparation
SCOPE - A careful reconciliation between the General Ledger and the payroll records. A thorough look across multiple periods to identify where exposure was sitting. Corrections carried through to completion.
CONTEXT - Leadership needed the back end of payroll to hold up to the same standard as the front-end financials before a significant milestone. It was not there yet. A careful, methodical walkthrough identified what needed to be corrected, and the corrections were made before anyone outside the organization took a look.
RESULT - Payroll infrastructure brought to audit-ready standard ahead of a significant organizational milestone.
Discrepancies between the General Ledger and payroll records identified, documented, and corrected quietly, before external review.
SECTOR - Construction Sector - Payroll Tax Compliance
SCOPE - Fractional payroll tax consulting on a contract basis. A careful review of where exposure was sitting. A plan to remediate, sequenced thoughtfully, with support through the implementation.
CONTEXT - Retained to bring strategic oversight to a payroll tax function that had outgrown the structure around it. An ongoing partnership shaping the compliance posture the organization will need as it continues to grow.
RESULT - Payroll tax compliance foundation established for an organization navigating rapid operational growth.
Structural weaknesses traced and corrected during an active engagement.

How We Begin Collaborating
My atelier is fractional and retained, shaped carefully around the unique circumstances you bring to the table. No two engagements look the same, because no two clients arrive with the same situation.
The Assessment Intake is where we start. Once I have read through what you have shared, we sit down together in a private conversation to shape the scope, the timeline, and the terms. From there, we begin.
When you are ready, Your Assessment Intake is open.
Three pillars. one standard.
Every engagement with me rests on three areas of practice. They connect. They carry weight. And together, they are the full scope of what we are preparing, protecting, and putting right.
