If you're the founder or an operations director, or project leader and you’re responsible for keeping the company's payroll together right now, this is for you. You’re hoping and praying not one other thing breaks before you have time to fix it properly.
I've always been the one who quietly takes in the full picture before anyone else says a word, and when the moment calls for it, I already know exactly what needs to happen. This isn’t something I learned, it's just how I am naturally.
I'm not a processor and I won’t recommend a “Band-Aid”. You tell me what you want and I rebuild the system underneath, so it grows and supports you and your business, no matter what changes next.
I chose to stay in payroll for more than 30 years because payroll is never only about payroll.
I once inherited a payroll tax situation that my two predecessors, plus the director, couldn't repair. One actually left the job over it. Within my first nine months, I reconciled the payroll taxes completely and recovered over $200,000 no one knew was owed.
Another time, our payroll manager went out on leave with no backup plan in place. Instinctively, I rebuilt the entire operation on top of my own role, and it held.
Both times, the real problem wasn't the paperwork. It was that payroll had never been built to survive change.
My belief is that payroll operations should be part of your business growth plan, not a back office task after headcounts increase.

Why It Was Created
With years of experience and a proven track record, I know what startups and small to mid-sized businesses want and need.
I spent my first 15 years in my career working with startup companies in the EDC program home in the US Virgin Islands. It was my best years and gave me true insight into what it takes to build, grow and scale a business in various industries.
Payroll wasn’t built to create headaches nor sleepless nights… however, I also understand that most people really don’t understand how impactful payroll is to businesses until it breaks. “Payroll keeps having problems”. “We’re constantly fixing things after payroll runs”. “Our payroll taxes aren’t reconciling”. “We don’t trust the numbers”. At the end of the day, the question on repeat is “How soon can you fix it?”. Sociél Muet Atelier was created because I want to help startups and small businesses move from the growth phase to the scaling phase. And I want to build their payroll operations so it doesn’t hinder that progress.
I want founders, operation directors, and project leaders to focus on their business, not on managing broken workflows, processes, taxes, and systems. And definitely, not losing sleep at night, unsure of what the next payroll run will expose.
