20 years in payroll, they started calling me “The Clean Up Woman”. I didn’t pushback. I accepted it because having OCD, it’s who I am and what I do naturally.
I once inherited a payroll tax situation that my two predecessors, plus the director, struggled to repair. One actually left the job over it. Within my first nine months, I reconciled the payroll taxes and recovered over $200k in over payments that no one knew was owed.
Another time, our payroll manager went out on leave with no backup plan in place. Instinctively, I rebuilt the entire operation on top of my own role, and it held.

Why It Was Created
With years of a proven track record experience, I know what startups to enterprise businesses want from their payroll operations.
I spent the first 10 years of my career working with startup companies in the EDC program back home in the US Virgin Islands. It was my best years, as it gave me true insight into what it takes to build, grow and manage a business in various industries.
Payroll wasn’t built to create headaches nor be problematic… however, I also understand that most people really don’t understand how impactful payroll is to their businesses until it breaks. “I don’t trust that our payroll is accurate”. “We’re paying the balances but the notices keep coming”. “Our payroll taxes aren’t reconciling”. “We don’t trust the numbers”. At the end of the day, the question on repeat is “How soon can you fix it?”. Sociél Muet Atelier was created because I wanted to help startups and small to midsized businesses have well functioning payroll operations and teams. And I wanted to build their payroll operations so it doesn’t hinder their progress.
